A mixed couple Saturdays for the Swanley Men.

Last week, the lads suffered a huge defeat to Old Alleynians 3s away, only managing 10 points to the oppos 96!

Yesterday, the Swans welcomed Greenwich to the nest in the Kent cup.

Even though the boys lost by 2 trys, spirits were high. There were a lot of really good interlinking play and solid set pieces, that really threatened the opposition.

In the last play of the game, the Swans were pressuring the Greenwich defence in their 22, who were pleading for them to just finish the game as they couldn't win anyway.

This obviously fell on deaf ears due to the never say die attitude of the green and white.

With another penalty advantage to the swans, Greenwich's prop was knocked unconscious, and the referee then called the game. We send our best to Greenwich and the injured player and hope he makes a speedy recovery.

League rugby returns next Saturday as we welcome Old Colfeians for our 100th club game!

This is expected to be a great match-up, with a strong Bevy looking on.
