Swanley RFC service award - John Aitkenhead
For the 2nd year in a row, we have been privileged to present our award for exceptional service.
We caught up with John's wife, Wendy, who also happens to be our charities and fundraising secretary for a look into what made John so special to the mighty swans.
"John was a founding member of the club and put in a lot of hard work as president and continues to do as ex - president.
I don think everyone realises the time he put in behind the scenes, especially around match day and with getting the club it's current home at the rec via The Howard Venue, Swanley park and our current journey up to the Olympic. He and last years winner Paul Yates were huge contributers to the clubs current success."
